Revolution!

At the start of Easter, we began learning about the French revolution, it was rather exciting. We learnt about people in the war and lots more. First we wrote diary entries and learnt about the horrendous lives of children, who had to climb up steaming chimneys, work in factories for long working hours and children were beaten and abused by their masters.

We also learnt about Marie Antoinette. She was originally a Queen, throwing rich, lavish parties and gambling games. Eventually many people disagreed with the way she treated others and how she would not share the ridiculous amount of money she had. This is when the revolution had started. She disguised herself as a peasant and decided to make a quick escape, however eventually she was caught, executed and had her head chopped off in a guillotine!
